Arrival in Kathmandu: As you step into the vibrant heart of Kathmandu, our Hakuna Matata Trekking team will warmly greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, attend a trek briefing session to prepare for the journey ahead. Afterward, explore the bustling streets of Thamel, soak up the lively atmosphere, or shop for last-minute trekking essentials. Rest well as your incredible Himalayan adventure begins tomorrow!

Day 02 :

Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Sightseeing and Preparation: Explore Kathmandu's rich cultural heritage with visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Afterward, return to your hotel for the evening trek briefing. Prepare your gear for the trek while enjoying a relaxing evening.

Day 03 :

Fly to Tumlingtar and Drive to Num

Flight and Drive: Begin your journey with a scenic 45-minute flight to Tumlingtar, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. From Tumlingtar, embark on a 5-6 hour drive through lush hills and terraced fields to reach the charming Sherpa village of Num.

Trek to Seduwa

Trek to Seduwa: Start the trek with a descent to the Arun River (660m), followed by a steep ascent through terraced fields and vibrant villages. Cross into the Makalu Barun Conservation Area, where our guide will handle permits. After about 5-6 hours, arrive at Seduwa, a peaceful hillside village.

Trek to Khongma Danda

Acclimatization Day in Khongma Danda

Trek to Dobate via Shipton La

Trek to Dobate: Cross several high mountain passes today, including Kauma La Pass (3603m), Keke La Pass (4127m), and Shipton La Pass (4170m). Stop at Kalo Pokhari Lake, a serene high-altitude lake, before tackling the final Tutu La Pass (4080m). Descend to Dobate for the night.

Trek to Dobate

Trek to Dobate: Continue your descent through serene alpine forests, crossing bubbling streams and rugged ridges. After approximately 5-6 hours of trekking, reach Dobate, where we’ll camp overnight.

Trek to Khongma Danda

Each pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. After a long day of trekking, reach Khongma Danda for a well-earned rest.

Trek to Num

Trek to Num: Begin the day with a descent through forests of rhododendron and bamboo. Cross the Arun River one final time, officially exiting the Makalu Barun Conservation Area. The trail climbs gently to reach Num, where we spend the night in a welcoming Sherpa village.

Day 19 :

Drive to Tumlingtar and Fly to Kathmandu

Drive and Flight: Embark on a scenic drive back to Tumlingtar, reflecting on the incredible journey through the Himalayas. From Tumlingtar, board a short flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying aerial views of the majestic mountains. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy your leisure time exploring the city or relaxing. In the evening, celebrate the successful completion of your trek with a special farewell dinner hosted by Hakuna Matata Trekking.

Departure
